Managing the start list

Managing the start list

For competitions, the Start list is the operational center for registered participants.

Path: Competition dashboard → Start list

Search by name, bib, email, or number. Filter by distance and payment status.

Add participants manually #

  • Pick participant — search existing club participants
  • Add new — manual registration when online registration is closed or for on-site entries

Edit entries #

Open a participant row to update details, payment status, products, and linked orders.

Merge duplicates #

Start list → Merge combines duplicate registrations for the same person. Useful after import errors or double signups.

Import from spreadsheet #

Upload an .xlsx file to assign bib numbers in bulk — Importing the start list from a spreadsheet.

Export start list #

From the start list action buttons:

Export Content
Export XLSX (per distances) One worksheet per distance — bib, contact, payment, products, and custom registration question answers
Full start list All registered participants on a single sheet — includes registration form questions as columns
Export Marketing XLSX Contact data plus marketing consent answers for this competition

Marketing export details #

The marketing export (start_list_marketing_export.xlsx) includes every non-anonymous participant on the start list, regardless of registration status (registered, pending, withdrawn, etc.).

Fixed columns:

Column Content
ID Racer ID
Created Registration timestamp (club timezone)
Last Name / First Name Participant name
Birthday / Gender Demographics
E-mail / Phone / Country Contact fields
Distance Registered distance
Status Current registration status

Additional columns — one per club marketing preference question — use each question's short name as the header. Values come from answers stored at checkout (true/false for checkboxes, or the selected option).

vs. club-wide email export

This export is scoped to one competition. For filtered lists across many events, use Marketing email export filters under Marketing → Export emails.

Exports are asynchronous — download from Organizer documents.

Privacy

Use marketing exports only for contacts who consented. See Marketing email export filters for filtered club-wide lists.

Virtual vs in-person rows #

  • In-person racers — payment, tickets, bib assignment
  • Virtual racers — linked workouts and calculated times
