Copying a challenge

Reuse a successful challenge setup by copying it from the challenge dashboard instead of creating from scratch.

What you can copy #

The copy dialog lets you choose what carries over to the new challenge, typically including:

• Basic settings and dates (adjusted on save)
• Sports activity types
• Registration questions
• Images and branding
• Team configuration
• Step game tasks (when enabled)

Uncheck sections you want to rebuild manually.

New challenge identity #

The copy creates a new unpublished challenge with a fresh event code. Update name, dates, and public URL before publishing.

Participants #

Participant copy is not available to regular organizers — only platform superusers can optionally include participants when copying (for internal migrations).

After copying #

1. Open the new challenge dashboard
2. Walk through Challenge settings walkthrough
3. Publish when ready — Share your event (Easy Access)

Competitions #

There is no identical one-click copy on competitions — use Create event wizard or create a new competition and mirror settings manually.
