Diplomas and finisher documents
Diplomas and finisher documents
DistantRace generates finisher diploma images from PowerPoint (PPTX) templates you design externally. Placeholder text in the file is replaced with participant data when diplomas are generated.
Built-in design editor removed
The manager no longer includes an in-browser diploma editor (background upload and drag-and-drop fields). Design your layout in PowerPoint or Canva, then upload the .pptx file.
Where to manage diplomas #
| Event type | Manager path |
|---|---|
| Competition (race) | Open competition → Diploma (one template per distance with results) |
| Challenge (steps, distance, etc.) | Open challenge → Diploma |
Step challenge organizers can also follow Create diplomas for all participants.

- Design a
.pptxfile with merge-field placeholders (see Race certificate creation for the full field list, Canva tips, and sample templates). - Upload the file on the Diploma page and click Save — a preview image is generated automatically.
- Publish by checking Is published? so new finishers receive diplomas when results are added.
- Generate for existing participants with Save & Generate.
