Challenge settings walkthrough

After you create a challenge, DistantRace opens the settings walkthrough — a step-by-step tour of the most important configuration. Reopen it anytime from Settings → Walkthrough.

URL: /console/<org>/challenges/<event>/overview/ (add ?new=1 right after creation).

Walkthrough steps #

The tour adapts to your challenge type. Steps you may see:

1. Overview and Easy Access #

2. Rules #

Summary of main goal, accepted sports, and scoring rules. Edit rules in Settings → Rules.

3. Participant slots #

Shows used vs allowed participant count. Upgrade your plan if you need more slots — Costs and pricing.

4. Dates #

Event start and end. Adjust in Settings → Base.

5. Languages #

Configured language versions. Add translations in Settings → Event CustomizationEvent translations and localization.

6. Teams #

Choose no teams, pre-defined teams, or open teams (participants create their own). Configure in Settings → Teams.

7. Sports (sports challenges only) #

Accepted sports and points per km. Not shown for pure step challenges.

8. Step game (step and combined challenges) #

Daily tasks and scoring toggle. See Step game.

9. Points (step, move, combined) #

Links to step tiers, daily step thresholds, and sport points.

10. Virtual map #

Whether a GPX route is configured for progress visualization.

11. Goals #

Individual, team, and collective targets.

12. Advanced / registration hub #

Shortcuts to registration window, questions, groups, result display, and stages.

13. Finish #

Tour complete — open the challenge dashboard.
