Registering interest before signup

Registering interest before signup

Some events let you leave your email before you have a DistantRace account or before registration opens. You are added to the organizer's interested list and guided to sign up or log in.

When you see this #

  • Registration is not open yet but the event page accepts interest
  • You must create an account or log in before the apply form appears
  • A private event preview asks for your email first

What happens #

  1. Enter your email on the event or challenge page.
  2. DistantRace saves you as interested for that event (and club).
  3. You are redirected to Sign up or Log in with your email pre-filled.
  4. After creating an account, the event may appear in onboarding — Getting started after signup.

When you complete registration, your interest entry is marked as applied automatically.

After you have an account #

Return to the event link from the organizer and finish registration. Your earlier interest does not replace signing up — it only captures contact details and helps organizers plan capacity.

Organizer side #

Clubs see interested emails in the manager console — Collecting interested participants.
