Selecting your virtual race workout
Selecting your virtual race workout
For some virtual competitions, syncing a workout is not enough — you must choose which activity counts and optionally finalize your result so it cannot be changed.
When this applies #
Distant race and challenge race style virtual competitions show a My workouts page after you register. If your competition calculates the result automatically from the first valid sync, you may not see this step — check the event instructions.
Open your workouts #
- Log in and go to My competitions (or the competition page → your entry).
- Open My workouts for your registration.
- DistantRace lists GPS activities that match the competition rules (distance, date window, sport type).
Only activities with OK status appear.
Submit an activity #
- Review elapsed time and distance for each row.
- Click Submit on the workout you want as your official result.
- DistantRace calculates your time to the required distance and updates standings.
Competition still open
You can change your submitted workout while the competition is open and the result is not yet finalized.
Finalize your result #
When you are satisfied, click Submit as final (finalize). After finalization:
- Your result is locked
- You cannot pick a different workout
- The organizer and public results use this time
Finalize only after you are sure no better activity will sync.
Common issues #
| Problem | What to do |
|---|---|
| No workouts listed | Wait for sync; check Supported apps and Managing your activities |
| Cannot submit | Competition may have ended — see result_submit_after_end message |
| Overlapping activity used elsewhere | Another entry already finalized an overlapping GPS track |
| Wrong account | Activities synced to a different DistantRace profile |
