WhatsApp campaigns

Send WhatsApp messages to participants using Twilio as the messaging provider.

Path: Manager console → Marketing → WhatsApp

Prerequisites #

  1. Connect Twilio with WhatsApp enabled
  2. Complete Meta Business verification and WhatsApp sender setup (see Twilio guide)
  3. Create and approve WhatsApp message templates in Twilio / Meta — WhatsApp requires pre-approved templates for outbound messages

Send messages #

  1. Marketing → WhatsApp → Create campaign
  2. Select an approved template and target event
  3. Filter audience (registration status, distance, region on map-based campaigns)
  4. Use Preview recipients on the create form — count and sample rows update as filters change
  5. Fill template variables (participant name, event date, etc.)
  6. Send or schedule

Campaign status #

On the campaign detail page you can:

  • Disable — stop a scheduled or recurring campaign without deleting history
  • Enable — re-activate a disabled campaign
  • Delete — remove a campaign that has not yet sent messages (sent campaigns cannot be deleted)

Track delivery in Marketing → WhatsApp → Messages.

Template approval #

New WhatsApp templates must be submitted to Meta for approval before use. Allow 24–48 hours for review.
