Managing your activities

Path: Profile → My workouts (/accounts/my_workouts/)

Activity list #

Shows synced workouts with sport type, date, distance, and whether each activity counts toward your events. Open an activity for map, splits, and inclusion details.

Why an activity doesn't count #

DistantRace explains exclusions (wrong sport, outside date window, missing GPS, etc.). See Why activities are missing.

Manual sync by date #

Pull historical activities from connected apps for a date range you missed — useful after connecting Garmin or Polar mid-challenge.

Path: My workouts → Sync (or activity list sync action)

Upload a file #

When auto-sync is unavailable, upload GPX, FIT, or TCX files:

  1. My workouts → Upload
  2. Select file and sport type
  3. Wait while the file processes — large imports show a progress counter until all activities are parsed
  4. Activities appear in your list when processing completes

TCX is common for Fitbit exports and some watch apps. See Extracting activity files for export instructions from other apps.

Create a manual workout #

When an organizer enables manual workout acceptance on a challenge, you can log a workout without a GPS file:

  1. My workouts → Add activity (or Create manually on the upload page)
  2. Fill sport type, date, distance, and duration
  3. Save — the activity processes like an uploaded file

Organizers may need to approve it — Advanced challenge settings.

Activity detail actions #

Open any activity from the list to:

  • Submit to event — attach a private/synced workout to a specific challenge or competition you joined
  • Remove from event — stop counting this workout toward one challenge (does not delete the activity)
  • Move to another challenge — when you joined multiple events in the same club, reassign the workout from one challenge to another
  • Assign to child registrations — for child subaccounts, tick which children's competition entries should use this parent-recorded activity
  • Assign to child challengers — same for step or sports challenges with subaccounts enabled
  • Delete photos attached to the activity

Results recalculate in the background after submit, move, or remove actions.

Edit or delete #

  • Edit — change sport type or metadata when you picked the wrong category
  • Delete — removes the activity and recalculates challenge results

Organizers may need to re-approve edited activities if manual workout acceptance is enabled.

Unapproved activities #

If an organizer manually rejected a workout (when manual workout acceptance is enabled), the activity appears under Unapproved or shows a banner on the detail page with the organizer's reason.

Contact the organizer through Contact the organizer if you believe the activity should count. They can accept it from the challenge Workouts list.
