Responding to a race schedule change

When an in-person race is moved or cancelled, the event page shows the organizer's current notice. The organizer may also send you a secure email or SMS link for the entries affected by the change.

A link can cover either one participant entry or all eligible entries in the same purchase. Check the participant names and event details before submitting a response.

The link expires on the date shown. If it has expired or you did not receive one, contact the organizer.

Available choices #

The organizer decides which choices are available for each distance:

Choice What happens
Keep entry For a postponed race, your registration stays in the same event on the new date
Transfer You request a move to one of the offered future races and mapped distances
Refund The purchase owner requests repayment for an eligible paid entry

Not every entry is eligible. Free, unpaid, reverted, already transferred, or otherwise excluded entries may have fewer options. A distance with no destination mapping cannot be transferred.

Transfer requests #

Choose the offered event and distance, then submit the request. Your registration is not moved immediately—the organizer must review it and create the target registration. Keep the confirmation until the organizer completes the transfer.

Refund requests #

Refunds are available only through a whole-cart owner link and only when the organizer offers them. Enter the requested account holder and IBAN; BIC and a note may be optional.

Submitting the form creates a request. The organizer reviews it and pays approved refunds through their own banking process. DistantRace shows the request status, but it does not mean the bank transfer has already been made.

Different entries in one purchase can take different paths—for example, one can stay, another can transfer, and another can request a refund.

Do not forward your link

The response URL grants access to the entries listed on it and, for a cart-owner link, may allow refund details to be submitted. Treat it as private.
