Reviewing virtual workouts

For virtual competitions, participants submit one or more GPS-tracked workouts. Organizers review them under Workouts.

Path: Competition → Workouts

What you see #

Each row shows the participant, activity source, distance covered, calculated time to target distance, and validation status.

Invalid activities #

Activities may be rejected when:

  • GPS data is missing or insufficient
  • Distance does not reach the required amount
  • Activity falls outside the competition window
  • Sport type is not accepted

Manual review #

Open a workout to inspect the track and result calculation. Contact the participant or adjust results if your rules allow.

Per-workout actions #

On a workout detail page you can override automatic validation:

Action When to use
Set as result Accept this workout as the participant's official time — replaces any existing result and recalculates standings
Delete result Remove this workout from scoring. If the competition uses best workout rules, the next-best remaining activity becomes the result automatically
Add penalty Add seconds to the calculated time (e.g. rule violation). Enter penalty in seconds — standings and team scores recalculate

Each action is logged in the workout history for audit.

Flagged activities show the reason DistantRace rejected the GPS data (missing track, insufficient distance, etc.) before you override.

Remove all results (per participant) #

On a virtual racer detail page (start list → open virtual entry), Remove all results clears every submitted workout and deletes calculated results for that participant. Standings and team scores recalculate automatically.

Use when:

  • All synced activities are invalid and the participant must re-submit
  • A data import error attached wrong workouts
  • Fair-play decision to reset one entry only

For challenge participants, the equivalent is Remove all activities on the challenger detail — Editing individual challenge participants.
