Premium registration packages
Premium packages are optional paid tiers shown during registration — for example "Standard" vs "VIP" with different perks, merchandise, or start-wave priority.
How participants see them #
On the registration or confirmation page, participants pick one package (or the default free tier). Each tier may show:
- Title, description, and price
- Icon and color styling
- Extra registration questions specific to that tier
- Shipping requirement for physical perks

Dashboard statistics #
When premium levels exist, the competition dashboard shows how many participants chose each tier — Competition dashboard analytics.
Configuration #
Premium levels are tied to the event in the backend (Django admin / platform setup). There is no self-service premium editor in the standard manager UI yet — contact DistantRace support to add or change tiers.
Each level can:
- Set price (VAT inclusive)
- Attach questions participants must answer when selecting the tier
- Assign a group label used internally for reporting or bib waves
- Require shipping for included physical goods
Payments #
Premium charges are added to the participant's cart like tickets or products. Refunds follow Refunds and transactions.
