# Challenge default virtual paths

When setting up a virtual route, choose from **preset maps** instead of uploading your own GPX.

**Path:** Challenge → **Default virtual path** (shown when no custom map exists yet)

## Pick a preset

1. Browse published default routes (curated GPX tracks)
2. Select one — it copies to your challenge as the virtual map
3. Customize start/end place names under Settings → **Virtual map**

## Custom upload

To use your own track, go to Settings → **Virtual map** and upload GPX or draw the path — see [Challenge settings reference](challenge-settings-reference.md#virtual-map).
