# Help and troubleshooting

## Update the app

Install the latest version from the [App Store](https://apps.apple.com/lv/app/distant-race-app/id6447062298) or [Google Play](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.distantrace.app). Step sync and Health Connect fixes often require recent builds.

## Steps not syncing

1. Confirm **Step source** under Profile — [Step sync setup](step-sync-setup.md)
2. Open **Home** and pull to refresh (or leave the app in foreground briefly)
3. Check health permissions in phone Settings

## Workouts missing

## QR scan fails

- Allow **camera** permission
- Increase screen brightness when scanning a monitor
