# Delete your account

You can delete your DistantRace account from profile settings.

## Before you delete

- **Export data** you need — activity history cannot be recovered
- **Active events** — you may need to [withdraw](withdraw-from-an-event.md) from paid registrations first; deletion may be blocked while you owe unpaid carts
- **Connected apps** — Garmin, Polar, etc. are disconnected automatically

## What is removed

- Login credentials and profile
- Saved participant profiles
- Connection tokens to sports apps

Historical results in events you joined may remain anonymized on organizer start lists per event rules.
