# Virtual competition sport variants

Besides the default **5 km run** virtual race, the create wizard offers sport-specific **virtual competition** presets with preconfigured distance and allowed sports.

**Path:** Manager console → **Create event** → competition type

## Run 5k (`run_com`)

Default virtual run — 5000 m, run/orienteering/walk sports for step sync where applicable.

## Bike 20k (`bike_com`)

| Setting | Default |
|---------|---------|
| Distance | 20 km |
| Primary sport | Ride |
| Allowed sports | Ride only |

Participants need GPS-tracked cycling activities. See [Participate in virtual competitions](../joining-events/participate-in-virtual-competitions.md).

## Row / paddle 10k (`paddle_com`)

| Setting | Default |
|---------|---------|
| Distance | 10 km |
| Sports | Paddle, kayak, canoe |

For rowing, kayaking, and canoeing virtual events.

## Ski 10k (`ski_com`)

| Setting | Default |
|---------|---------|
| Distance | 10 km |
| Sports | Ski, nordic ski |

For cross-country ski virtual races.

## Defaults for all wizard competitions

- Status: published but **unlisted** (private link)
- Kind: challenge race (virtual timed format)
- Free ticket created automatically
- You are added as the first participant for testing
