# Exporting challenge data

Challenge dashboards offer several **XLSX exports** for reporting and audits. All exports queue as [organizer documents](../more-tools/organizer-documents.md) — refresh the Documents list to download.

## Participant list export

**Path:** Challenge → **Participants** → **Export XLSX** (participant export)

Includes enrolled challengers with totals, team, distance, contact fields where available, sport-specific columns (distance, time, calories, active days, points), and **one column per custom registration question** from [Registration form questions](registration-form-questions.md).

Use for:

- Final results backup
- HR or wellness reporting
- Mailing lists combined with [marketing export filters](marketing-email-export-filters.md) when you need club-wide filters instead

## Step data export

**Path:** Challenge → **Participants** → **Export step data** *(step challenges only)*

Spreadsheet of per-participant step summaries for the challenge window — complementary to the per-day breakdown in [Exporting step challenge daily results](exporting-step-challenge-daily-results.md).

## Team standings export

**Path:** Challenge → **Teams** → **Export XLSX**

Team-level totals and member contribution columns (respects **Top results in team** limits from [Advanced challenge settings](advanced-challenge-settings.md)).

## Daily step rows (all participants)

**Path:** Challenge → **Workouts** → **Export XLSX**

One row per participant per day — see [Exporting step challenge daily results](exporting-step-challenge-daily-results.md).

## Per-participant sync audit

**Path:** Challenge → Participants → open a name → **Export step sync times**

Device sync timestamps for one person — [Editing individual challenge participants](editing-individual-challenge-participants.md).

## Privacy

Exports contain personal data. Store files securely and follow GDPR/marketing consent rules. Access is logged in the event audit trail.
