# Personal activity exclusion zones

**My locations** lets you mark areas on a map where activities should **not** count — for example a gym, commute corridor, or treadmill room where GPS drift could wrongly include distance.

**Path:** Profile → **My locations** — [distantrace.com/en/accounts/my_locations/](https://distantrace.com/en/accounts/my_locations/)

## Create a zone

1. Open **My locations** and click **Create new**.
2. Draw a polygon on the map around the area to exclude.
3. Give the zone a **title** and save.

Zones are stored on your account and apply to future activity processing.

## Enable or disable

Each saved location can be **enabled** or **disabled** without deleting it — useful when you travel or temporarily want all activities counted.

## Delete a zone

Remove locations you no longer need from the list actions.

## How exclusions work

When DistantRace processes your synced workouts, activities recorded **inside** your exclusion zones may be filtered out according to challenge rules. Exclusion zones help when:

- Indoor treadmill runs pick up GPS noise
- A regular commute segment should not count toward a virtual race
- You train at a fixed loop the organizer treats as invalid

Challenge-specific [geo restrictions](../running-events/geo-location-restrictions.md) from organizers are separate from your personal zones.
