# Club membership

## What is a club membership

Joining a **club-only** or **club-access** event may add you to the organizer's club roster. Membership unlocks private events and club-branded pages.

## View your clubs

The list shows clubs you belong to with links to the public club page and active events.

## Leave a club

Use **Leave club** on the club detail page in your profile.

Before leaving you must **withdraw from all active events** in that club — otherwise leave is blocked.

When leave succeeds, DistantRace **anonymizes** your name and results in that club's past challenges and virtual competitions (including sub-accounts you registered). This cannot be undone.

Leaving does not delete your DistantRace account or affect other clubs. Withdraw from active events first — [Withdraw from an event](withdraw-from-an-event.md).
