# Omnisend

[Omnisend](https://www.omnisend.com/) is a marketing automation platform. DistantRace syncs participants and orders so you can run email campaigns in Omnisend.

## Connect Omnisend

1. In Omnisend, get your **API key** and **Brand ID** (account ID).
2. In DistantRace: Club settings → **Integrations** → Omnisend → **Connect**.
3. Enter **Account ID** and **API key**.
4. Optional settings after save:
   - **Use order confirmation** — send Omnisend order-confirmation emails on paid registration
   - **Marketing preference mapping** — map a registration marketing question to Omnisend subscribe status

## Sync actions

After connecting, use the integration panel to:

- **Initialize full event sync** — create Omnisend lists for your events
- **Sync member emails** — push participant contacts
- **Send test purchase email** — verify order confirmation template

Each event creates a list named `Year - Event Name` in Omnisend.

## Marketing preferences

If your registration form includes a marketing consent question, map it in Omnisend settings so only opted-in participants are subscribed.
