# Invoices for platform services

When your **club pays DistantRace** (not participant registration fees), you receive a PDF invoice after checkout.

This applies to:

- [Upgrading participant limits](../running-events/upgrading-participant-limits.md) — one-time slot purchases
- **Pro / Pro+ subscriptions** — monthly participant caps
- Other manager-initiated purchases billed to your club

## Checkout flow

1. Open an event → **Upgrade** (or subscription renewal)
2. Select participant count and plan tier
3. Complete checkout — billing uses your **club company details** from club settings
4. Pay by card (Stripe)

## Download the invoice

After payment:

- Confirmation email includes an **invoice download link**
- The invoice PDF is attached to the order in DistantRace's billing system

Club admins with financial access can also find related records under Finance (participant-paid orders are separate from these platform charges).

## VAT

VAT on platform services is calculated from your club's **country** and **VAT registration** (company VAT ID in club settings). EU clubs with a valid VAT ID may qualify for reverse charge.

Ensure club settings include correct:

- Company name and registration number
- VAT number (if applicable)
- Country and address
