# Event internal comments

Organizers can leave **internal comments** on event dashboards — visible only to club staff in the manager console, not to participants.

**Path:** Competition or challenge **dashboard** → comments section

## Purpose

Use comments for handover notes between race directors:

- "Bib pickup moved to tent B"
- "Waiting for timing company file"
- "Refund pending for entry #142"

Comments are timestamped and attributed to the staff member who wrote them.

## Add a comment

Type in the comment field on the dashboard and submit. Recent comments appear in the dashboard sidebar or comments block.

## Delete a comment

Staff can remove outdated comments with the delete action next to each entry.

## Audit trail

Major event changes also appear in [Event history and audit log](event-history-and-audit-log.md). Comments are informal; the audit log records structural edits (settings, payments, status).
